Mr Rhidian Morgan-Jones Consultant Knee Surgeon

Mr Rhidian Morgan-Jones is a private Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in London, specialising in knee conditions. He runs a national and international service for the management of infected total knee replacement, re-revision knee replacement and chronic osteomyelitis. He undertakes young adult and complex primary knee replacement along with revision arthroscopy.

He is currently an elected British Orthopaedics Association (BOA) trustee and serves on several national committees working on infection and revision knee services. He was appointed as Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the University Hospital of Wales in 2000. In May 2023 he moved to Colchester Hospital, Essex to work as the Revision Knee lead and help develop the regional network Major Revision Centre.

After qualifying from the University of Wales College of Medicine (1989) and completing Basic Surgical Training in South Wales, he was appointed to the West Midlands Orthopaedic Rotation (1993-1999) and undertook Fellowships in Osteomyelitis in Johannesburg, RSA and Knee surgery in Sydney, Australia. He has been a British Orthopaedics Association (BOA) trustee and serves on several national committees working on infection and revision knee services.

An international lecturer on Revision Knee Replacement and Orthopaedic Infection. Has published over 120 papers and books and is in constant demand to speak, Teach and Chair at conferences Worldwide. He has pioneered single stage revision for infection and developed techniques for re-revision of salvage replacements.
