Mr Neil Hunt - Professional Bio
Mr Hunt specialises in all aspects of knee surgery.
His surgical interests include arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery, ligament reconstruction and sports knee surgery as well as arthritis surgery including osteotomy, chondral and meniscal surgery, uni-compartmental, total and revision knee replacement.
He uses technological advances to optimise outcomes for patients, in particular, MAKO robotic assisted knee replacement, which provides a surgical plan tailored to each patient’s specific anatomy and improves the accuracy of knee replacement. He also uses the latest techniques to accelerate patients’ recovery.
He has a keen interest in early arthritis/arthritis prevention techniques including a holistic approach to minimise symptoms, optimising non-invasive and minimally invasive techniques including injection therapies, articular and meniscal cartilage surgery and the use of bracing and leg re-alignment surgery (osteotomy) to relieve pressure and pain from the affected part of the knee with the aim of restoring function without the need for knee replacement.
Having played rugby for many years, including for Cambridge University and St Mary’s Hospital, and as a keen skier and tennis player, he understands the frustrations (for amateurs as well as professionals) of being unable to return to sport after an injury as well as the benefits of an early diagnosis and tailored treatment plan.

Our 79,000 sq ft, seven-story, private hospital on Wigmore Street has 39 en-suite inpatient rooms, consultation and treatment rooms, and a physiotherapy suite.
